Gospel choirs have been always a success during the advent season. The prompted pastor Walter Wickihalder
to initiate a choir in Wollishofen. Through his tireless engagement, he found Themba Ndlovu, a musician from Zimbabwe ho later became
the conductor.
On the 21st of January, 2001 Themba Ndlovu together with his wife Jabu, sang a couple of gospel songs during
a church service in the old Reformed Church of Wollishofen.
In just a short time 60 people, young and old joined the choir.
They met on the 20th of March 2001 for the vry first rehearsal. Ever since this date has become the birthday on
the choir
The choir is open to all, our membership spreads accorrs all spheres of society.
The choir is also a club, the first president was Elisabeth-Charlotte Fischer. The present president
is Dr. Axel Zander. We, the Gospel Singers Wollishofen are happy to support the Wollishofen Church
community through song.
