In Zimbabwe, she attended nursery school in Gweru, and then, Petra Primary School in Bulawayo.

Nongoma, which means "Mother of song" in Zulu, the language spoken by her mother
is the leader, chief songwriter and vocal arranger of the band. Born on 1st March, 1989 in Hamburg, Germany, at nine
months, she could identify a note, and would sing in key.
A very gifted musician in her
own right, started composing at at a tender age of four back in Gweru, Zimbabwe. Songs such "Family Matters". She has
a high calibre in voice command. Harmony is her forté.
The driving force behind the band, Nongoma has set high standards
for this young band which she single-handedly founded.
